Feces was piled high in many enclosures. I asked a caretaker about why they don’t move them to an empty one- because we just put them in there 6 months ago so it’s still pretty clean. Gross. Capuchins living in feces for nearly a year unless rain washes away. Please don’t give these zoo people money. This is not a sanctuary but an actress running her play to get money. I am disgusted I went there without research first. $50 RV fee not donation

I have met Kari and toured the Jungle Friends Primate Sanctuary. Kari cares very deeply for her primates and is highly committed to them. The monkeys all appeared happy , healthy and well loved !! I highly encourage you to visit the sanctuary.

Simply an awesome experience. Volunteering was so rewarding. Hard work but definitely fulfilling. You get to see these mischievous beautiful animals that are not designed to be pets but you can really appreciate their intelligence. Kari and Andrew have put their heart and soul into giving the best care for these monkeys. The pandemic has been a challenge to get dependable and responsible help but it gave us the opportunity to roll up our sleeves and help out as a family (with older kids). We went from experiencing one tour to wanting to invest our time and help out. It is satisfying to see a lab monkey or other abused primate have such a wonderfully deserved home after all they have been through.

We did the tour for my birthday and it was above and beyond what we expected. It is clear that Kari loves all of these animals and even knows most of them by name. The grounds are kept clean and it’s obvious that these monkeys are spoiled rotten. We highly recommend this place if your looking for a fun afternoon with animals and great guides.

Come on out for a Magical Monkey Experience and learn why you do NOT want a "pet" monkey.
No you can feed them peanuts though and they might touch your hand in the process lol. Closest you can get to holding them is watching the tour guide pet one there 100 percent in cages or house like shelters
They do not sell monkeys, this is a monkey sanctuary.
No, monkeys are not "pets" and are not domesticated, they are wild animals and must be respected as the amazing wild things that they are!
I want to adoped a new born baby monkey but dont have a hole lot of money to buy one do you have any i can adoped for free if not how much
18 or with a parent or guardian
Jungle Friends has a Sponsor a Monkey program, you can choose in Monkey to sponsor and you’ll receive updates on your sponsored Monkey, as well as the other monkeys at Jungle Friends, and you are encouraged to come out and meet your sponsored monkey, maybe even volunteer here at the sanctuary. We have over 300 monkeys at the sanctuary, and once you see them living together with their own species in large naturalistic outdoor habitats, you will understand why monkeys do not make good “pets”, we should keep wild animals in our hearts not in our homes.
No, they are wild animals and need to be with other monkeys!
Jungle Friends runs on Volunteer Power!
It is not open to the public, but you might be able to volunteer.
You can schedule some time to volunteer and work around the sanctuary for a few hours follwed by a tour or schedule a tour via email and they will let you know fees then.
Yes they do have a number of places off Archer road and I 75
Thank you so much, sorry there was a 4-year delay, I am not very computer literate, and I just found out about these questions on Google.
