If you are having trouble with feeding yourself go to St Francis House. They have lunch time meals for anyone. Not sure of the days, but Friday is one and the food is great!

Do NOT stay here!!!!! I repeat DO NOT! Very overwhelming than helpful!! Quick to give referrals for daycare for your kids but that is it! And will get nick picked at until you want to leave so they won’t have to give you the funding to be housed!

Pregnant and displaced due to an unhealthy partner, the shelter staff here took me in and treated me like part of their own family. I have never felt so much love and when I needed it the most. They are quick to help you with referrals and resources so that you can eventually become self sufficient and stable. It is smaller and they don't take just anybody in focusing on families first and in turn there is a standard of safety here. Requiring police clearances and negative covid tests is just another precaution providing and extra sense of security. I am now working. I eat and sleep so good at night while I save up for me and baby to venture out on our own. God bless the staff at St Francis House. With an extra shout out to my favorites casemanger Tavia Sumpter, Ms. Lillian, and A'Nayia!!! Yall rock!!!

Called them to see if they provided food. They do provide preprared food.. My fiancee and I have been down on our luck and haven't ate in 3 days. So we come here to eat using the last bit of gas we had. So we make it here for 11:45 just to find out we have to get a blue card from the police department just to eat. Something they could of told us over the phone. Just wanted to say thank you very much for wasting the last bit of gas we had! We sure appreciate it!

Saint frances house in Gainsville fl is open to the public between 8am till 4pm monday through sun. They feed public homless lunch only. Breakfast and dinner are served for guest of the house only. You have to set an appointment to talk to a representative or case manager. If they have an opening it goes by availability and who comes in at that time. If you just became homeless from either release from incarceration or loosing your home. Your better off starting at Grace market Place on the same Rd as the Alachua Jail. They can at least get you bedding a hot shower food and they have most of the state funded services in house open on registered days of the week from 8am till about 5pm. Once your signed in youll be put on a waiting list to register for a bed there. During your wait they will let you sleep outside on the grounds. Or you can ask to talk to the mayor of camp city which is based around the compound. If excepted. You can set up a twnt in one of the communities.
Show up to st. Francis House you can choose a time and they will put you on the schedule
Yes
Yes, they do have a handful of rooms.
Yes. Most definitely there's someone available there to assist you with receiving all donations.
There is a waiting list at st. Francis House and you also have to go to the police department and get a blue card which is good for 90 days
No u have to go to Grace Market place for that. But Saint Francis does get food donations all the time. Try going to the Salvation army they have lots of can goods for people who need them.
Yes
Yes.
Call and let someone know there you need a room you might get put on a waiting list or get an emergency put in.
Usually you can pull to the main door via the street. There are parking spaces. Go inside and someone at the desk will be glad to assist you. Greatly appreciated and I am not downing good will but they are for profit and no longer a not for profit.
I heard that there is one down the road from St Francis house I guess like behind it
Yes
You would have to go there and check or call up there
Just around the side of the gate
Their is a waiting list I believe because they only have so much room but you also Have to go to the police station and get a blue card that last three months or so
Yes.
Not really Saint Francis will be used only for families with children not single individuals i was told grace in Gainesville takes homeless individuals but certain restrictions may over incite thier moderate shelters capacity
