Actually the Humane Society has a low-cost clinic that offers basic exams for $20. It is not a full service vet but there are vets on site to evaluate your puppy. Clinic hours are Tuesday-Thursday 10-4 (1-4 on Wednesdays).

Google low-cost Vetinarians in Gainesville. The Humane Society offers low cost spay/neuter and vaccines. You need to establish your puppy with a Vet. There are low-cost Vets, mobile Vets bur the Humane Society is not the place to take a sick animal.
