I need to renew my passport, because I have decided to return to live in Mexico, but I lost some documents, I only have my record and my expired passport, no proof of housing because I do not live here in L.A. Does anyone know what I can do?

J Eduardo Moreno, those documents are the requirements to process a new passport, in fact you can if you want to apply for the consular registration, birth certificate and your credencek INE that would be your credential to vote from abroad. It would not hurt if you can also carry a bill with you to check your address where you live, it does not matter if it's under another name, they just want to see where to send you the documentation in this country and your driver's license. I approve california ... so you can check your identity. Never be too well prepared by the doubts. Remember to make an appointment before going because they do not attend without an appointment ... visit your nearest consulate online and make your appointment at mexitel

That's enough, explain to the person, who takes care of you, that you are going to return to Mexico
