A friend of mine moved from Sac to Modesto, during the move she asked if I can sit her cat until to move was done. It's been 2 months without contact, I have no want or need for a cat. What can I do other than abandon the animal and become one?

Look online to see if there is a local rescue that has foster's. A lot of places can take a cat into their home to avoid the trauma of being in a shelter kennel.

Take the animal to the Bradshaw Animal Shelter or contact a feline rescue organization. If you take it to the shelter you could just State what happened and they'll be okay with you turning the animal over.
