We were trolling for salmon and captured the hotel and restaurant from the waters viewpoint and I'll tell you it's a 5 star joint. Everything you need for a great weekend getaway is right there..stateroom, restaurant, bar, entertainment and it's a whopping 1 minute walk to old town. I'm planning a getaway with the wife right now and we'll be staying here for sure.

It was excellent! Old world charm, tons of history, fun to stay somewhere with character! Everyone was very sweet & kind, and our room was upgraded when we checked in. Loved it, I will definitely be sending anyone there looking for a hotel recommendation!

Quaint and old fashion, but it is a riverboat, so wonderful all the same! Our room was on the river side of the boat and the sea lions woke us up each morning, but they were fun to watch and we were able to make coffee in the room which was helpful. The included breakfast was good and all of the staff we encountered were great to work with. The proximity to old town Sacramento and the train museum made this hotel the perfect location. We enjoyed ourselves, but remember this is a very old restored riverboat so book with that understanding and you will not be disappointed.

The two of us spent one night at the Delta King before our bike ride to and from Folsom. Each staff person we encountered at the hotel were delightful, helpful and friendly. They provided a safe, locked room to store our bikes, and the included breakfast was good and filling. Yes, the rooms are small, but it ours was clean, comfortable and large enough for our needs. Also, the location was perfect--we spent a long time in the nearby Rail Road Museum which is a must see.

There are a lot in old sac and downtown, none on the boat, however.
There is an AARP rate for hotel rooms but no other senior discounts. @JamesHamaker can you elaborate on your response?
Yes
Breakfast is at 7am closed from 10am to 1130am (except Saturday and Sunday) then open until 9pm (10pm Friday and Saturday)
There are photos on the Delta King website! Worth noting: the rooms were cabins on a working, vintage boat, and though they have thoroughly modern conveniences, bathrooms and air conditioning, the door frames are low enough to bump your head, and the floors aren't quite level :). All part of the authentic charm!
No. Worked there. Nothing. And I'm a sensitive. If anyone felt anything...I would.
Oh yes most definitely! The Delta King has a long history of the Riverboat gamblers murdering and killing each other over gambling debts. Also back in its day it was well known as a floating brothel. There is a lot of history there. If only the decks and the cabins could speak.
No, but there is a coffee maker and I'm sure if you curse a lot they will bring you hot water when needed.
No room service, you can go to the bar or restaurant and order and take it to your room
