I was in need of a car for 7 to 10 days due to mine being repaired. The car I requested they didn't have, the one they gave me had multiple scratches, one ding and all four wheels were curbed. I took notes and pictures and she failed to document any of it. When I turned the car in they wanted to hold me liable for a scratch. But they didn't seem to care about all of the other issues. I showed them the previous damage and they said they were going to close the case and send it to corporate. I would like a refund on this car but still waiting. No more Enterprise...,

Love Enterprise for car rentals. Have always had a great experience with them and this recent rental was no different. The gal checking me in was very nice and helpful. The entire check-in process was very quick and easy. The drop-off was also very quick and easy. Will continue to rent from Enterprise.

The car was great, the customer service was awesome. However, when we returned the vehicle the gas price said $6.85 and we were charged $7.95 per gallon. A significant increase that was not posted. Since our flight was at 7am and we had an infant with us, we felt it was easier to return with a quarter of a tank missing. The price gouge on the gas is completely unfair, especially since it was not posted. Dishonesty and deception at its best.

I had to shuttle a group to a wedding and rented 3 minivans from SMF. I was checked out by Hugh who could not have provided better customer service.. The price for these vehicles couldn't be beat. The check out and return was simple and fast. The vehicles were immaculate and well appointed. In fact the window was so clean my son thought he'd left it open....

No you do not,all they needed was a copy of return flight stuff and a debit card (went in oct 2018)

Yes actually down the road from the terminals.They have shuttle buses running to and from the airport I believe every 15 minutes or so.
I would call beforehand and ask I'm sure it is possible. There must be many others who have had to rent a car one way. There might be a extra charge but I am sure its possible! Good luck and safe driving!

They never checked my ID when I've returned a car they just inspect the vehicle so it shouldn't be a problem

Not sure, but similar to what you experience when you book a flight and/or lodging, you can key in rental dates & pick up/drop off locations, & learn the prices without actually committing to a reservation--dont be afraid to explore it :) Also, keep in mind that the daily rental rate is only one part of the equation. The daily rental fee is the cost they'll display most prominently. There can also be a fee for relocating the car, though. That fee depends on drop-off location and supply/demand of rentals in that location (i.e., relocation fee varies), but it is a one-time fee for the reservation (not adding to the cost daily). This relocation fee is visible in not-fine-but-slightly-smaller print when you review the rental cost details. Wishing you smooth, safe travels!
I've only been able to rent after midnight a large airports, such as LAX and Newark, NJ. SMF closes at midnight.
Private shuttles are usually available 24 hours/day with a reservation. No regularly-scheduled shuttles that I know of at 4 am.
You should tell the rental car agency that you want to drop off at a different location when you reserve your car. If you have rented the car call the rental car agency and let them know you are dropping off at a different location.
I don't think it matters where it gets dropped off, even the airport branch.

If you're asking can you return a car before a flight you can ans if you return it during business hours if you're in a rush they can also drive you to the terminal.
