I booked one minute after they opened reservations and the closest date was 3 months away!
Reservations are only taken every few months, and tables for two sell out as fast as popular concert tickets (I'm not kidding about this). The full amount of the dinner, per person (~$350 each), is charged when you book. Tables for four or more last a bit longer, and can be had for a few weeks after reservations open.

They open reservations on the 1st of every odd month at noon pst. So for mar you need to be ready jan 1. On your computer and refreshing like a madman. I kid you not. Within 5 minutes they will be booked full. It is doable though.
