i am scheduled to leave for Ecuador on Jan 19th with a 10 day stay but my passport expires in April. Is there anyway to get an exemption if my ticket home shows that i am leaving before the expiration ?

My understanding is your passport must be at least 6 months valid before traveling. I hope this helps!
