Office is closed. I called their building management, the lady confirmed, they're not leasing the suite anymore. The website is not updated unfortunately. I was just about to mail them my paperwork with sensitive information. I'm glad I called.

This Consulate is nothing but a waste of Ethiopian tax payers money -- they serve no purpose at all. I can't believe that the most poorest country in the world can afford to bring people from Ethiopia, pay their expenses and wage when clearly they don't even answer incoming calls but get paid to reside, and enjoy life in the beautiful city of Los Angeles, California. This is not only an utter shame, but also an insult upon all citizen of Ethiopia and forigners who want to expedite visa for the purpose of initiating business, investment as well as tourism.

Ethiopia had suddenly suspended their e-Visa system with zero notice. I called up the consulate. There did not appear to be anyway to speak directly to a representative but if you use their menu system, you get very clear instructions on the steps necessary to get a visa. Following the phone instructions, I decided to go to the consulate the next day. We were one of the first ones on line. The consulate representative was courteous. He then pleasantly surprised me by telling me, I would have my visa in one hour. That indeed was what happened. When I read the reviews, most of the negative ones appear to be related to an inability to talk to a representative. My message to all is listen carefully to the menu selections on their phone system and then personally go to the consulate to get what you need to get done.

Yes I feel the same
This office needs to close or all employee’s needs to be replaced. They don’t answer phone calls or provide service. What kind of office refuse to provide a receipt when receiving a payment in money order? They also don’t provide processing timeline and have total disregard to customers
There is a lady that's is ripping off clients money for her time, as she labeled herself private worker, what a joke. That's why Ethiopian will never learn how to properly help people
I don't believe the embassy is open for visa interviews.

I am not the Ethiopian Consulate. I do programs for them. How did you get my email?
They're there, but we had same experience with phone. However, well staffed and efficient once you're physically there.
Yes you can. Fill out the application online and bring the hard copy to process your visa application in the Consulate. Make sure you bring all of the necessary documents with you. I hope this help.
