Extremely helpful and professional, especially Soledad and Fernanda, if ypu make an appointment and get there on time, the whole passport and Id processing takes less than 20 minutes.

I have received the worst service from the people that work there. There are rude and non professional. In addition they don’t do things properly the first time. Many friends have had the same experience and this is why I am speaking out. If you have experienced the same write a complain in the Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores. This mistreatment has to stop! We deserve to be treated with courtesy and respect! I must add that I found out my identification card (célula de identidad) which they renewed and mail to me in November, was not activated. I found out the hard way a couple weeks ago (March) after I had to use it for a transaction! There incompetence is beyond my understanding. Another complain was posted in the Ministerio de Relaciones Exterior. Hopefully they will do something about it. It’s time! 😡

Today I had a terrible experience at Vancouver's consulate, the same document my husband did in Los Angeles last week, which I tipped one document for my husband and exactly the same for me to get AFP funds in Chile. In LA cost him US$5 and it was ready in 1 day but in Vancouver cost me US$35 ($47 Canadienses) and it was ready in one week. I was so upset! ... I congratulate this team, for me it is always easy to communicate (by email) and the documents are always on time.

Today my son headed to the consulate to renew his passport. Unfortunately he didn't know he was supposed to make an appointment, since Covid19 hit us. Despite of it, they did accept his application (since as always, they didn't have anyone on the waiting room) As expected he was treated poorly by on of their employees. Making him feel like at home. What is it gonna take for them to treat their fellow chilean citizens better. Shame on them

That I have known that they attend super badly, instead in Miami people are so different, they attend you immediately, with a friendly smile .. Los Angeles attends super badly ,,, what hurts ,, people would not want to work there if not It has Education, I'm sorry for the Chileans that we live in this country
John, you posted your comment as a question few will see, I recommend you put a review. I know that they attend until 1 pm and if they closed before there must be some compelling reason, but if you have a complaint, I believe in some government website, foreign relations I think, it should be. If they get paid in dollars it can result in an advantage over other Chileans, but they live here and I don't see how it could be otherwise. In 20 years living in the US, we have, my wife have children, many times in need of the services of this consulate and we have always been courteously and efficiently served. I understand your annoyance with your attitude that is typical of the Chilean public official. It is part of the idiosyncrasy and is one of the reasons why I left Chile. In the US the concept of customer service is crucial but if you go to any public services office you will be treated in the same way, for example, DMV ....
Good morning I could confirm if Monday is open to renew passport, since I have been told that Monday is closed is like that or the person who said ne is wrong, since I call the office and says that Monday through Friday are Except for the holidays, thank you very much.
Yes, you need to go there. and the cost is $ 137 with regular pages
No, you can just enter with your american passport for a period of 3 months. No visa at all just passport
My Chilean passport expired in October 2016 in San Diego, CA. I do not have an ID card, only my driver license, social security card and my green card. I need my passport, I want to know the cost and how long it takes. Thank you.
I create an apostilled notarial permit, to be valid in Chile
Yes, it is open today from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm
Elizabeth, you're not asking to the consulate but Google and I'm just a guide no consulate employee. I recommend you to call to the consulate, if they no answer, on the recorded answer you can learn about their email address.
Dear Google user. You're not asking to the consulate but Google and we're just Google guides. Call direct to the consulate, leave message or send an email.
You can obtain Chilean identity card and passport. The consulate of Chile does not grant consular registration
Right away, it is a long process the sooner the better
If it's your maiden name then you'd need to bring something like a marriage license to establish the legal name change.
If they respond, in my case if they responded, just look at the opening hours!
Due to Covid, they are working by appointment only. You need to request an appointment via email. They answered within 48 hours. The process is fairly expedite at the Consulate. I did it. The documents arrived by mail to my home about 3 weeks later.
We went without an appointment and they treated us, but they attend VERY BAD. One thinks that because you go to the embassy of your country they will attend you with kindness but it is the opposite.
If there are complaints, it is necessary to report to the corresponding ministry for an audit.

There is no vote given abroad
Sr, or lady, you're not asking to the consulate but Google and I'm just a guide. I'm a chilean and USA citizen too and traveled on 2017, and just past November one of my sons travel with his wife, he's naturalized USA citizen and she is born on the states and neither me or them had to pay entering to Chile.
Fernanda you're not asking the consulate but Google, I'm just a guide. Lonque is that they always close at 1 pm. I recommend you call and there you will hear a message with The schedules.
Carolyn, you're not asking to the consulate but google. I recommend you call the consulate, leave message or send an email. My opinion is it will be open.
Google user, you are not asking the consulate but Google and our answers are not official. What I know is that you need to bring something, even if it has expired, to identify you, identity card or passport, they will charge you US $ 12. I recommend you call them or send an email.
Dear Google user, you are not asking the consulate but Google and I am just a Google guide, my answer is just my experience. Only go with your old card or passport even if they are expired, you pay around US $ and leave an envelope with the postage paid and your duration so that after 30 days they send it to you. For an official response I recommend you call, leave a message or send an email.
Hi Jubila, you're asking Google not the consulate. I recommend you call them or send an email. My opinion is that those days the consulate will attend as usual as it is not a holiday, only on Thanksgiving Thursday I think they will close.
What is your question Maria? Here you are not talking. With the consulate, I recommend you call, leave a message or send an email, hours ago it was closed and now they are busy in the morning
Teresa, you are not asking the consulate but Google, call again, leave a message, listen to the recording and write down the email, write them and they will answer you, I think they close the Chilean holidays.
Francisco, you're asking Google and I'm just a guide. Call the consulate directly. I don't think they give you an answer because your question is related to US laws. My opinion is that you do not need more than the passport and just in case a written authorization from one of your parents. Of course, I am assuming you are still legal, if you are not, and you travel overland, be careful. If by plane, ask on the airline.
Teresa, you're not asking the consulate but Google and I'm a Google guide. I recommend calling directly, if they do not answer (most likely) leave a message, send an email. I have never renewed my passport but I think they take your picture there.
Hernan, you're not asking the consulate but Google and I'm just a Google guide, by Chilean chance, a US citizen, living for about 20 years, in the US. I went to Chile 2 years ago with a US passport and did not pay that tax, but as I told you it is only my word. I recommend you call the consulate, leave a message and / or your email.
Martha, how are you asking the consulate but Google and guides how I just give an opinion, ok? If you have a US passport you need nothing more to travel to Chile. I recommend you call or send a consulate email. If they do not answer, as usual, dena message there they give you the email.
Jo, you're not asking to the consulate but Google maps and I'm just a Google guide so my answers are mere comments but no official ones. As you I'm a us citizen and Chilean born, you need a passport to travel to Chilean as a Chilean or travel as an US citizen with this country passport. Even you id is expired you can ask them an emergency passport valid just to enter to Chile.. I recommend you call directly and if nobody answer leave message and st the same time email them with your question. They can tell.you where is the nearest consulate office or one that travels around the country. Call first.
The building has an underground parking ... a bit expensive. The trick is to park in the store 99 cents in front ...
You're lucky ...
Natalia, you are not asking the consulate but Google and we are just Google guides. Call them directly, but you can hire someone to translate
Hi Ricardo. From what I understand, you have to carry both your birth certificates and El de la mama. Part of the birth certificate of your son born here ... You can also visit his page and find some other information
Hi Viviana, sorry as you did with the renovation, did you attend?
They do but its 25 a day. We were just there this Friday and we parked around the corner at $9 parking lot. Get there early.
Hello to my husband, the same thing happened, we keep the air tickets, I do not know if it will be of much use but I did it as a way to show that we entered by plane and we all came together, my daughters and I have it stamped with the entrance but the no 🤷🏼♀️
Have you already contacted the Los Angeles consulate?
I do not know for it to be your procedure, I need to do the same so that my mother represents me in the bank and they told me that the only way is for it to be notarized, authorized and stamped by the consul, otherwise it is not valid in Chile
You do not need a photo, just your old passport and identity card
I think that through some Cuban entity, be it the consulate if there is one in Los Angeles or something similar.
Yes, you must request a resident visa at the nearest consulate
Hello, I see that it has been a long time and nobody answered you. Could you tell me how you did it? Did everything go well for you? I need to do the same, only that the paper will be sent by mail to Chile so that my mother can do some banking procedures for me.
Yes, but in the lungs!
When you leave?
