It's been my experience that you can get into a shelter with a work schedule you just have to join their worker program Kansas City Rescue Mission and the City Union Mission both have one. Yes Catholic Charities will help with shelter but it is when you are at the point where you're ready to rent an apartment they would help you with down payments and utilities
Already called rescue mission I cannot get because I get off at midnight and the city union is already filled when I get there
