We arrived about an hour before it opened, and got a great free spot right across from the museum. It was on a Saturday morning, but we were lucky, most people were feeding the meters.

Just street parking. You'd have to take a chance on finding free parking or metered
Street parking is free on weekends, or certain hours. I parked free on the street during my visits.
I did not find any free parking near the museum. Only meter parking.
