Very friendly staff. The place was a bit crowded but I think it’s normal on a Sunday. Their hours make sense! 9-12 then break, then 1-4! 3 hours is totally enough for kids to play. They have 3 floors and a fun slide from 2nd down to 1st. The clay area is fun. Staff in the Innovators Lab is friendly too. Good spot to spend a few hours with the kids!

Always a fun experience for kids in San Diego! Located right downtown. Paid garage parking is available but free or cheap metered street parking isn’t too difficult to find if you show up early enough. Buy tickets online or take advantage of free days throughout the year. Plenty of activities and experiences for kids of all ages. My son especially loves the hideaway area and I love it too because it’s connected to an outdoor seating area for adults to relax while kids run around and tire themselves out.

We have all Sunday morning with no schedule but checking out of our hotel room. To explore the city a bit we searched online and found the new children museum within walking distance. We decided to go in with no expectations except for pictures found online. It turned out to be a good decision. I would personally say it's suited for 12 and under. My daughters spent 2 hours easy with all the jumping around, climbing up and down, clay crafting. They had fun.

MUST VISIT. Great place for children of all ages. They currently have two play "slots" and are closed from 12pm-1pm to do their cleaning. No need to buy tickets in advance! They require to wear a mask indoors. Beautiful art all throughout.

The kids would be free; there are various levels of adult membership.
They can paint, or draw, build and there are puzzles!!!

If I remember right it's $14 per person. Last time I went though they had me sign up for a museum website and I only had to pay for myself.
You have to do the year pass you will like it and the kids love it, you also get permission for a lot of people it's worth it
$13 per adult als for Kids above 1 October free for kinds, 2nd sunday oy $3 for kids. Even you got 3-4 times a year, membership is good idea
Hey Amy, the regular price is about $14.00 but if you go to your local SD library you can check out a Museum pass with your library card. The pass let's you take 2 adults and 4 children for free for up to 7 days. You only need a SD library card.
Yes. There is public parking on streets and park across the street.
They change one station in about 8-12 month. For 8 year old, innovators lab, clay and art station, and wooden blocks at basement. But other than that not much.
No its not. But you can ask for a discount I believe so.
There are few street parking with pay machine . $1/hour at pay machine max of 4 hours. There are 6 spots right in front and 30 others around .25 miles.
If you mean Navy the military is free between memorial day and labor day.
You want your children to be curious people who embrace science and learning.
Theres a smaller kids section but not much there for ages below like 2.
Small parking garage below museum for $15 fee. Street parking is also an option.
yes
An 8 year old would have fun here. There are many craft and hands on areas.

They have blocks to play with, arts area to draw and tape, clay sculpture, and the pillow room to run around in. I think there is enough to do with a 1year old that it's worth a trip
I don't bring extra clothes. There is a sand box (but it's not that messy), painting, and other crafts (there are aprons like the person above said). Nothing else there is very messy.
Yes, it is definitely accessible. There is a ramp to get in, and an elevator inside.
And it's payvfor parking underground 10$ i think
Call them they have deals sometimes
We arrived about an hour before it opened, and got a great free spot right across from the museum. It was on a Saturday morning, but we were lucky, most people were feeding the meters.
It is a great morning activity.
Yes
Always try Horton plaza...parking or Headquarters shopping parking - Horton plaza is at least covered in hot weather.
On the second Sunday of the month it only costs $3. It is Target Sunday
Yes it is open to every body I think Raven if your not a member
I don't believe so. Much of the building is open to the outside though and it's near the water so it wasn't warm in there at all, but it was also low 70s that day.
