My catalytic converter light came on. Can I safely continue my drive to Asheville or should I stop now.I have a 2011 Volkswagen golf.

You should be fine.. as long as the check engine light inst flashing it normally means a sensornis bad more than it means a part is bad. Just make an appt to get it checked out sooner than later

It is probably an emissions/sensor code light. Best to stop at an auto parts store, at least, and see what the code description is; most likely you would be okay to make it to Asheville -- but better safe than sorry!

You're fine. Catalytic converter just takes care of the emissions on the back end. Just take it in when you get back , no big deal.
