A lot of it is how much you work the program. They do have some resources, but they don't just find a place for you that you can afford and meets your needs (for example, placing an intelligent independent woman in a wheelchair in a room on the second floor in a building without an elevator). The staff includes some who really do care about the guests, but they are all stretched too far.
You have to be referred by an outside agency like City net. Then there may be a wait list to even get in... longer if you need a bottom bunk. People are often here 9+ months before they find acceptable housing and then it's from other resources, not help from Bridges.
It's not a program, its a shelter, yes they could , you could stay here until a place, ie,.... an apartment becomes available.
