They do not identify as 'no kill' because the term is misleading. There are always a certain number of pets that will not be candidates for rehoming due to major medical issues or aggression. Their release rate is 90%, significantly higher than the national average of ~35%. Their staff does everything possible for every pet.

It's a wonderful shelter and they deeply care for the animals. As stated previously, they only euthanize for specific issues, and never due to overcrowding. As for the person who called it a pound, you can use that word but that doesn't mean they kill animals. I say that I have a pound puppy because my beautiful dog is from there.
