These guys know their stuff. I already knew, more or less, which bike I was going to get for my kid, but it was available in two wheel sizes, and the sales rep helped us to decide on the right one. My kid loves his new bike. Thank you!

I was truly hoping to find (Hold Fast) foot straps but these were available instead. At least the color I wanted was available, and the staff are great.

Awesome staff great bikes. Made a mistake; they do not open 9:30 Wednesdays. Sorry.

I ordered the army green 4130 from State Bicycle Company. I took it to the crew at Valencia Cyclery to have it assembled by professionals. I took it over early on Saturday October 3rd, 2020. Cory and his guys assembled the ride that same day. I was so impressed with the customer service of all of the VC family in the shop and the showroom, that I also purchased a Brooks B-17 saddle for the my bike on the spot. I’m sorry I took so long to thank all you guys at Valencia Cyclery for the awesome experience of being a customer of your business. I’ve been a little too busy enjoying the ride you assembled for me! My thanks to you all is well deserved. I know where I’m headed for great service in the future. Thanks again, VC!

Good. Great ventilation, hand sanitizer in front and a table to block access in so they only allow one at a time, I think. Felt perfectly safe in. Wear a mask.
Pretty sure they're hipster friendly. Probably not necessary.
Valencia Cyclery is a great local bike shop with tons of helpful mechanics. They are open as an essential business. I've been there a few times in the last month. I don't think or online is their gig but you can call them and ask if you need to order something.
Me personally or in general
This is a very complicated question. I don't think they sell motorkits, you'd have to buy an actual prebuilt ebike. FYI most motorkits pale in comparison to the prebuilds, the ones that were nicer went bankrupt. There are lots of other variables that may prevent you from installing a motorkit. You're going to have to go into an actual store and do your own homework to figure out your options
I can't imagine they would have trouble tuning and tiring your bike but if it needs some vintage bike parts you might consider American Cyclery by Kezar.
