We didn't encounter any bears, nor warnings of bears in the area.
Yes, there are black bears that have returned to the area. The visitors center has a "critter cam" that catches video of bears, coyotes, mountain lions and lots more.
Yes, game camera's have recorded bears in the park. I'm not aware of anybody ever being bothered by them. 2018
