Seemingly a perfect vineyard to escape the crowds at Napa Valley vineyards. Our tasting reservation was at 1pm and there were still a few open tables in the reserved areas. The general public seating was virtually empty and the service was absolutely excellent. This trip was on a Saturday afternoon, so for what some may think is a busy time, we had a great, quiet experience. Just what we were looking for.

One of the most beautiful sites for tasting. our host, Eric was phenomenal. He was fun but more importantly he was so educated and knowledgeable about the property history and the wine varietals. Definitely a must when visiting Sonoma. Thank you Eric for a great experience! Jane P

Chateau St. Jean never disappoints. Happened on it 25 years ago. Decided on a whim to stop for a glass of wine…the grounds are fabulous with inviting outdoor rooms to relax and sip.

I have a magnum of 2005 reserve Cab, when should it be drank? thank you

This is a bottle that is drinking extremely well now! I would open it! Will need a little decanting as there has been some sediment showing in the neck, but easily flushed with a little pour. Make sure to use an "ah-so" wine opener (two prongs), as the cork may be a little fragile dependent on storage conditions. 2006 was tasted this weekend at an event and showed beautifully from magnum.

I’ve just rediscovered several half bottles of your Johannesburg, 1977 and Belle Terre Vineyards.Individual Dried bunch selected late harvest wine. Would you be able to say if that is still drinkable? No ullage, good corks, well cellared Thank you

Hello Brooke, we haven't tried any that old but the sugar content in those wines should have kept them drinkable assuming nothing went wrong during storage. I would be very interested to try a bottle if given the opportunity. I say pop one open and let us know what you think!
