Sorry - All the animals have to come through the Los Angeles (I think City) Shelters. I used to volunteer at the Baldwin Park Shelter and they are not one of them ! I wish you could - because Best Friends is SO much better.....but maybe your cat can get transferred there.....
Unfortunately you cant.when my father passed away we couldn't keep the cat,I tried to take it to best friends and they told me I had to take it to a shelter which I did and you tell them your going to have best friends come and pick up the cat,so when you take it to the shelter, you will get an ID# for your cat, when you get that # you have to take it to best friends you fill out some paper work and give them the ID# and within 2 weeks they will go pick up your cat,if you love the cat go about it that way,let the shelter know that, you have to do a little foot work, you don't want to kill the cat,as far as my Dads cat goes, best friends picked her up and she got adopted.GOOD LUCK.
As far as i know you can. I adopted a dog from there last week. You can call them too.. they are open 7 days a week. Noon to 8pm
