Bones was my piercer and he is so dope! I got two cartilage piercings and he was very clean and professional, and also made me feel less nervous about getting piercings. I used the online booking system so it was a very quick and easy process to schedule. I am about two weeks out since I got pierced and they seem to be healing nicely, no allergic reactions to the jewelry or anything. Really can’t recommend Bones enough, such a great guy with great customer service and great piercing technique. Def get ear piercings from here!

I came here probably 6 months ago and wanted to give my piercings a chance before writing this, but get ready for an essay. I got two helix piercings that I’ve had a terrible time healing, which I’ve never had to deal with before. I have multiple other cartilage piercings, so I know how my body responds to them, how they usually go and how to take care of them. Right when Sammy was done piercing me she told me she was going to put the backing of the earring on tight “to stop bleeding” which is absolutely not something you’re supposed to do, and that doesn’t even happen if you get shotty piercings at the Claire’s store in the mall. I quickly realized the piercings were super close together, which was partially my bad for not realizing when I saw the markings beforehand, but it made it extremely difficult to clean between the two studs. Then, I realized the quality of the jewelry was *terrible* because it started turning my ears green like cheap jewelry does. The jewelry itself started turning green. Again, not even the claire’s earrings are this poor quality. Also one of the gems on the studs is literally crooked. I didn’t even get to see or choose the jewelry before they were in my ear. I know in the piercing world flat back internally threaded jewelry is overall the new standard and butterfly back earrings you can buy anywhere are generally not used at professional piercing studios. After everything else I’ve said, just guess what kind of stud I was given. I still have bumps on the back of my piercings despite my thorough cleaning of them and I can’t see any other reason why besides the abysmal jewelry quality.

Hello Denesse. Best thing to do is contact the person who pierced you directly. They should have given you their card. Cartilage piercings getting infected easily because they have many obstacles to healing such as pressure from sleeping on it, the brush hitting it when brushing hair, wet hair sitting on it after a shower, and irritation from getting touched in general. Infection has many stages, the best thing i can tell you without seeing it is use salt water solution to clean it up to 3x’s daily. Make sure nothing hits it and no pressure on it. It’s extremely important to keep it clean and not hit or pressure put on it to heal properly. Cartilage takes usually 4-6 months to heal when it’s babied. It can take up to a year.
If I remember correctly, I don't think they pierce anyone under 18. IF they do, a guardian needs to sign off and both the minor and adult need to bring official IDs.
Thank you for the question. We don’t tattoo people under 18 at all. It is illegal in the state of CA and in most other states as well. It is only legal to pierce minors with parental consent. Best to wait till your 18. Just food for thought, you might find somebody to tattoo underage people. But anyone willing to tattoo someone underage and put their reputation and freedom/business on the line is probably hard up for money. Please be careful.
Depends on where the piercing is, check with the shop on pricing...the do have a "spin the wheel" special.
