Are there walk-up sites available? Silly me, I didn't make reservations for this weekend and everything is booked. If not, I see there are other campsites that have walk-up. Does anyone have a suggestion on which one to try first?

We were at North Rim campground last week- that camp is FULL..Try Demotte campdite that is 20 min driving from North Rim .

Demotte is fabulous and is closest to the NP entrance.

It is definitely worth going to North Rim and checking in on cancellations. There were multiple cancellations the weekend I was there. DeMotte is and excellent backup option if the North Rim is full. Also check Ultimate Campgrounds . com and free campsites . net for dispersed camping options as another backup plan.

Try one of the campsites outside of the park. They may have walk up or cancelations. You'll waste your time waiting for a cancelation in the park. Once someone cancels anyone online can grab it.

From what I know is no they do not have walk up sites. I heard people waiting at the desk for cancelations. I would call and ask.
