Great place to camp. Cant beat $20 night with 220 electricity hookup, place to fill up drinking water and a dump station. You can rent ATVs and UTVs from Mikes within walking distance of the campground. Pizza pantry, also within walking distance has great pizza, cheese curds, and cowboy bites. There are tons of trails to explore.

Really love the location to hop on the atv trails. Will definitely be back. Nice view of the river. My only wish is that they had water at every site and if they took reservations. We got there on a Thursday around noon and only 3 sites left. We got lucky. Lots of grass. Got to get a good space if you want shade. We had a little tree near us and it helped in the afternoons.

Kyaked down the river from Calamine to Darlington. There were several places where we had to skirt around downed trees and one place we had to get out and go around. Besides that, it was a very relaxing 4hr float down the river. Exit and entry from the river was easy and there were places to park vehicles at both ends.
