We stayed here overnight as a pit stop between Cincinnati and Myrtle Beach. Overall it is a quiet, clean, and well maintained campground. The front desk staff was so kind and welcoming. Our site was a bit small, but had a full hook-up and perfect for a pit stop. My kiddos enjoyed the playground and the views were beautiful. We came on the recommendation of a friend and will absolutely be back! We recommend for a short stay or even a long weekend - next time we will stay an extra day and bring our fishing poles!

We LOVE Mayberry Campground. We have stayed here several times. The young ladies working in the office are so friendly as are the men working the campground. It’s super clean and very peaceful. There’s a woman living in the camper beside the office that was either having a bad day or she’s just unhappy and taking it out on children. I’m not sure which because she left when I approached. Our granddaughters who are 13 and 10 were walking our dog who was on a leash (carrying one, a tiny toy poodle who cannot be walked with a leash) before we left the campground. The one on the leash pooped and our youngest granddaughter ran back to the camper to get a bag while the oldest one stood near the poop so we would know the area he pooped in. The woman came with a bag and was rude and told our granddaughter she needed to clean up after pets and it was a law to have dogs on a leash. She was carrying Izzy who cannot be leashed. She scared our granddaughters. Her husband works here and is super nice. I’m not sure if she was just having a bad day or what. She certainly isn’t what Mayberry Campgrounds is, incase you encounter her. Please know, that’s not the norm at the campground. We love Mayberry Campground!! ♥️

Nice campground, very clean and well maintained. Spaces were large drive thru sites with all utilities located at the driver side toward the rear of the site. This is my go to park in Mt Airy although it is out of town by a couple of miles.

This was our first time here. We called to make reservations and that went smoothly. We came in on a Tuesday so the place wasn’t very crowded. While setting up our 5th wheel, I encountered an issue with the front landing gear. I needed a drill and didn’t have one. “Uncle Ed” is on staff at the campground and he saved the day by letting me use his!! Got that issue taken care of and we began enjoying our short stay here. All the roads in the grounds are gravel and are very well kept. The grass was green and was actually being mowed during our stay. Not many trees but from our site we had a nice view of the mountains. Very clean place. We stayed in site 102 which sits up on a knoll. I liked the site. Easy to back in. Unfortunately, not much room between sites but in all honesty it wasn’t any different than most other campgrounds. Lots of big motor homes here as there’s plenty of room for them to get in and out. Can’t say anything about the bathhouse as we didn’t use it. Mt Airy is 5 minutes away and Pilot Mountain park is 15 minutes. Plenty to do if you want, but mainly we just relaxed. We will come back! As far as ratings, I would have given a 4.5.
