Turnbull is over crowded and restrictions on the parking is to lower the environmental damage of the crowds. There's over 750k hikers/bicyclists visit this area yearly, that's more than many national parks. Without parking restrictions the crowds will continue to grow destroying paths & wild life.
I don't live in the area but I agree that parking needs to be regulated. That place was getting way too crowded, the trails were getting ruined with people who don't respect the trail system. The real problem is the new hours, 9-5. It should be sunrise to sunset. That place will be unbearable during the summer with those hours.
My advice: Stay in school.
Definitely agree. Eventually though, rumor has it, that Rosehills will buy out entire land leaving us with nothing. Hence, the "new signs" on Turnbull side, permit only tracts and lack of parking- with the exception of Hellman side (parking fights). Sometimes they're open at 9am and at other times they're closed all day.
