30 days is pretty standard most places and this is from the ACE Website: "You may return most items within 30 days from the original purchase date as long as the item is unused, in like-new condition, and in the original packaging. In each case, you must provide all paperwork, including product instructions or information and your packing slip/receipt, and any parts and accessories."
Was it an oscillating sprinkler? It possibly just needs adjustment perhaps a little penetrating oil
In my experience 30 days is the normal amount of time for standard returns and exchanges unless you have an extended warranty on an item. Perhaps instead of posting here you could have requested to speak with the store manager?
