They have a good selection of out-of-the-ordinary varieties, most of which come and go but all are adapted to the local area. Last week in feb I saw a lot of cane berries, dormant shrubs, several perennial gems I would have liked, better than average primula vulgaris hybrids, smallish indoor area of succulents/tropicals, and large variety of other stuff for the size of the place, and finally the brugmansia I was looking for. As far as customer service; it's a bit hit or miss, that is typical for the local area sadly. They could definitely use a dedicated manager. The place is clean and well organized unlike some other places that are simply flat areas with plants shipped in from growers. Overall I like this place's customer service much better than dragonfly farm to the south.

We live in Roseburg and try our best to visit 101 Plants and Things if we go to Bandon on a Saturday. This past Saturday (28 August) we bought three dahlias but forgot to ask for their hybrid names. Dahlia growers are nonexistent here in the Roseburg Valley. We were certainly thrilled to see such beautiful dahlias at your nursery even if there were so few to choose from. So . . . If you can provide the hybrid names of these three dahlias we would be much grateful. Thank you Liz and Larry Broeker

Have been there many times. Especially enjoy their flower and ground cover selections.

Staff is friendly and helpful! Other reviews saying the employees are mean almost kept me away. However I have been to 101 Plants and Things several times and have consistently had polite, good customer service. As a plant novice, the employees have been very helpful assisting me in selecting in and outdoor plants that will work for my home and my yard, as well as my plant experience level. Despite my inexperience, I haven't once been treated with anything other than respect. I am loving the plants I've gotten from here and they are all doing well!

We do! Not a giant selection but nice. Some are in brightly colored ceramic pots and there are also Cactus Cuties (itty bitty pots that are cute as can be). Thanks for asking!

Do you have any wild Rhodendron plants?

I am sorry but we do not have any of our wild, native Rhododendrons. If you contact the local Rhododendron Society they may know where to find them as they are very much a specialty plant.

Hi, I was wondering if you sold snake plants?

Do the Watsonia Bugle Lilies come in red?? I’ve seen lots of pink & white plus orange (bulbs).

Ronda Meyer Swem | Aug 19, 2020

Hi Ronda Yes Watsonia does comes in a color that is named "Red". It is more of a dark magenta than a true red but still very lovely. The plants are not quite as vigorous as the lavender/pink colored ones. While not rare, neither are they readily available. Look for them as bulbs in early Spring with dahlias, gladiolas, etc.

Do you carry a plant named Hotlips?

Nina Elson | Aug 20, 2019

Do you mean the Salvia Hot Lips? We do carry this when it is available and very pretty it is! This Salvia is usually available later in the season (June? sometimes in May) as it blooms well into the Fall. Thank you for your query.
