I will never shop at McKays again in Bandon, Oregon. I purchased 2-gallons of milk and although the expiration date was 7-10 days past the purchase date the milk was sour, curdled and chunky the very next day. This tells me that the milk was not chilled and stored properly at a safe temperature. I also purchased an assortment of fresh fruits & vegetables and the head of lettuce was rotted underneath the top layer. The fresh raspberries were molded and extremely mushy when I opened up the container and not visible from the outside when I held up the container to look for molded fruit. They literally fell apart when I tossed them in the wastebasket. but could not be seen through the clear plastic container. The containers should be opened up and checked before stocking for purchase.’These products need to be checked thoroughly and rotated when stocking. In addition my avocado’s were rotten and black on the inside. How long are they left sitting out? I mean do they even check and pull the old avocado’s before stacking new ones on the top. I have also purchased apples that my family says taste old and have rotten spots on the inside. I worked in the restaurant industry for many years and also managed a daycare cafeteria which received several perfect inspections from the health department. There is no excuse for having rotten and spoiled products on the shelf’s.

1 negative experience, otherwise 5 stars. A female employee was stocking shelves when I asked her a question and she replied very rudely to me. Everyone else has always been kind and helpful. I shop at McKays exclusively even in other towns.
