On weekends is definitely crowded. Went there on Saturday at 11 am and we parked about a mile away from the main building and it was way crowded... better of going on weekdays
Week days are better you are right since the schools are closed best time to visit all good places with very less crowd around you
That is true most go there on week days. I was there on Sunday. I made there early at 6am. To make to the top. Once getting back down it was crowded. But its a nice place to hike.
On week days not so much, but on weekends you better get there early.
