They are mostly transfered to other organizations be it another shelter or a rescue. Fostering is another option. The majority of adoptable dogs remain on the adoption floor until the right person comes along. Also, understand that many of the animals that come into SCRAPS have worried owners looking for them which means between owner redemptions and adoptions, there aren't many animals left unadopted.
We keep them until adopted or we send them to another RESCUE. We partner with many other shelters here and in the Seattle area.
