Head to the Kaibab trailhead on the South Rim and that will take you all the way to the bottom of the canyon to Phantom Ranch. Plan accordingly as it is a hike of several hours and requires an entire day if you plan to hike all the way down and back up.

Yes, you can take the mule ride down, and there are other trails down to the bottom, probably need a guide.
