how was the grand canyon formed ? it was made by a layer of sediment the acient river could make the canyon billions of years ago

Regardless of how it was made, it is majestic. It literally brought tears to my eyes when I visited

There's also a belief that the earth is younger. If so the grand canyon could have been formed by a catastrophic event like a huge flood that could could have carved it away much quicker.. Obviously you don't see that option in any of the info panels along the path. The old earth model is presented as undeniable fact.
