This area is also known for rattlesnakes...keep a full tank of gas and a snakebite kit! Know your way to the nearest hospital...You probably never encounter one but it's always good to be prepared they are out there..
There are quite a few actually, as well aa a few nice local beaches. I would recommend refreshung your first aid knowledge, since there's quite a few sticker bushes and I know I gaked myself pretty good getting down to the beach, but it was a lot of fun and I really enjoyed tromping around with my uncle.
