The river beach area is horrible, you have to walk across rocks to get to a small rocky dirty beach. My freind fell on the slimey rock path and cut her foot open and twisted her ankle and she couldn’t get back up the campsite itself was boring not much to do and all the basic campsites were in a long row and it was so empty it was creepy, The host kept checking in on us about complaints but we were basically the only people there they were the one complaining and overall this was not a good trip we won’t come again.

We have been RV'Ing here for many years. This current stay was the worst by far. Not kept up at all. The lawn has not been mowed or watered all season. Trees are not trimmed, some with broken branches, some dying. Trails are in horrible shape and over grown. Split rail fence broken lying on the ground.primitive camp is in horrible shape. The lower park on the river is horrible, worse than the upper RV area. Parking lots are filthy, lawn not mowed, trees over grown, wild blackberries everywhere, garbage lying around. I paid over a $100 for three days here... what a waste of my hard earned money. I will never come back. Thoroughly irritated with my tax dollars not going to up keep of county parks ! I know Clackamas County parks will probably care less about my review, but, it is what it is ! Horrible park

I am very disappointed in the Primitive camping, no outhouses or garbage cans. The camping spots are over grown and not taken care of. If my event wasn't 2 weeks a way I would find somewhere else. They are charging more and doing less. People are going to the bathroom all over.

I've stayed here quite a few times over the last 3 years and everything was great until this last time. Whoever has taken over the "hosting" is extremely rude and nit-picking about nearly everything. We had 3 cars parked in our space for about an hour while we were unpacking the cars the first day (about to move it to overflow parking) the host came over "only 2 cars allowed per campsite, move it." My friend had set up a hammock in between two trees (tied around the trees as to not harm them). We were told not to have that as it's against the rules to have anything but a tent and you can't sleep under the stars. (She had a tarp above it). The guy made a real snarky remark about it. And the 2nd night we were playing scary stories low on a phone after "quiet hours". He could have just asked us to turn it down but instead he said "you can't play amplified sound after 10pm. Turn it off" it was a phone... I read the rules. We are respectful. I feel like this guy's tone was just unnecessarily rude and condescending. I'll be back in hopes it's better next time. Then I'll update.

You can rent it out for multiple events. We did that for my parents anniversary.
Jacob Scharbroughthe only thing I could suggest is drive through the park see if there's any sign saying so and so's tow service if you haven't already if you have any didn't see no sign then you'll have to call the park and ask them who they use for towing
The gates open at 6AM and close at 10PM from what I remember! And yes if you're early the gates are closed
U can camp at barton campground but not at the park . Campsites are different amounts. Pets are welcome . Just Google barton park and cluck the link for camping.
Depends on what you mean by after hours. There is a gate that I believe closes at 10pm. The kiosk usually closes well before that. You can still check in after the kiosk is closed you just have to find the camp host.
Not that I know of, might have to check with them
Last I new of witch was several years ago the sewer dump site was only open for the duration of the camping season. If you go towards Estacada I do believe the timber Park dump site is open year-round I hope that helps answer your question sorry my knowledge not 100% up to date I tried calling the ranger station they might be able to tell you even on the city of Estacada website good luck
Yes you can
Yes and no. If you had a reservation in advance it is being honored but currently new reservations are on hold last I checked.
I tried online but can't find it. I was thinking next month
No, it's included in the price of your camping space. And there is a store gas station just up the road. Have a great time.
local not sure the name sorry
It is $28 a night for camping. Great place to go! Went for meteor shower earlier this year
No camping. Closes at 9pm. Great float from Barton to Carver.
Keep an eye on the local Facebook event pages. That usually post it around if it's happening.
Do you need any special fishing licenses for this river
Yes only 2 left, had the worst service just this last weekend. If they don't like ppl they shouldn't work in public
Yes as you leave very convenient! It's a beautiful park!
Barton Store Then down the road in Estacada is a grocery store, liquor store, gas station and such
You can go without a reservation as long as something is open.
No
Yes
No, it has two separate campgrounds. See website for current prices.
The showers are open the entire time the overnight camping area of the park is open. Overnight camping is NOT open year round.
you'd have to check their website to find out and I recommend calling them asap to make a reservation. since it's labor day weekend, I imagine they'd be booked, but there's always a chance!
That im not sure
all varieties of camping are available and most sites have water and power. Some sites are very (uncomfortably) close together, and others have some privacy. it was interesting to note that they close the gates at ten pm - We felt well cared for.
I imagine so, but not for sure
