Wonderful full hookup camp sites and the best day use/swimming area of all the state parks I've been to. It gets VERY windy at night so be wary in tents. Small dome tents do ok but big tents are problematic. Great for kayaking and ski boats. Fishing isn't great but the view is amazing.

Very beautiful, relaxing, clean and quiet grounds mid-July. Kayaking, birdwatching, night sky, and peaceful "down time" were enjoyable. Huge grassy sites with abundant space in between trailers/tents. Several Yellow jackets wanted to join us for outside meals and a few nights were blustery, otherwise perfect!

This is a particularly nice state park on the Columbia river halfway between Ellensburg and Moses Lake. The sites are large and comfortable with a very nice view of the Columbia river. That is a boat launch and places to swim. The bathrooms are clean with nice showers separated on the back. They have several smaller bathrooms which was nice, easy walk to them. This campground has a spectacular dawn. It can be windy! There are not a lot of services nearby so make sure you bring everything...

Do you know if there are campable spots, near the Columbia River but not on campgrounds?
It's a state park, so WA Discover pass will work or you can pay $10 per day fee by calling the discoverpass number.
This area is also known for rattlesnakes...keep a full tank of gas and a snakebite kit! Know your way to the nearest hospital...You probably never encounter one but it's always good to be prepared they are out there..
Great place to stay. If the water is down there would be good access.
