Hey I have a year old green cheek conure that I’m taking to the vet and I’ve never been here. I was wondering if they take the bird in or if I can go with my bird. I would prefer to be with her, since it’s her second time. thanks!

Yes, for now we are still following distancing guidelines, and even with just our staff indoors we are wearing masks all the time. However, there are limited opportunities to schedule your bird's exam so that it happens in our front exam room, which has big windows. You can sit outside the windows and see us working inside. Talking back and forth through speaker phones is a bit difficult due to road traffic noise, but it can be done. Whenever you make your Consultation appointment, mention that you would like to be able to see the exam, and we will see what we can do. - Thanks, Dr. Lisa Harrenstien, DVM, DACZM, owner of Avian and Exotic Veterinary Care.

Due to Covid, they meet you in the parking lot and take your pet in. I'm sure that once all restrictions are lifted, you'll be able to go in again.
