Bill, I was an actual customer and not even close to a leftist. There is a reason why people give bad reviews. The company did something that was not good customer service.
I am an actual recent customer, Bill. I can also assure you I am ANYTHING BUT a leftist. Why a bad review? Because the company didn't provide what they advertise. They had my car for 60 days. Yes. That's correct. Never did they ever give me anything that resembled an ETA for the job completion. I asked about a loaner several times and was always told there were none available, or someone was "on the list" ahead of me. I finally did receive a loaner, 10 days before my car was done. This was after i exhausted my rental car coverage with my insurance, hitched rides and got uber to take me to work. I finally broke down and got my own rental car, at my own expense. This was about a week before the loaner came available. Unreturned phone calls. Condescending "customer service" employees. I left a bad review because I was given some of the worst service I have ever encountered. They didn't even vacuum my car when it was done. They did manage to break a sentimental piece I had in the car.
I'm a guest service manager at a reputable hotel in downtown Portland. Leif's has no customer service. Nor do they even try. You talk with Jim the nice guy when you drop your car off. Then when you try to follow up about ETA, payment. They want to give you the runaround and be rude. My specific situation, when I went to pick up my car, cash in hand. I was told that they purposely "buried" it because they didn't like me. And I had to wait three more days before it could come out. I called the police to have a report of the situation. (I wanted documentation for legal reasons.) The officer told me leif's gets a lot of calls for not releasing people's Vehicles after payment. And because it's a civil situation. The officers can't force them to release. They have to file a lawsuit. Which most people don't have the time or money to do. Ben (manager) did say something slanderous to me about "not taking Mexican money." Referring to pesos. I only assume it's because of my last name.
Look up my repair as well. I cant say the customer service was poor, because there wasn't any! I simply needed a bumper and a tailgate on a 2005 truck and it took over 6 weeks, and the only time I would get any sort of update or ETA was when I stopped by the shop in person because the service rep would never call me back. I have nothing to do with insurance companies, and you cant hide behind that excuse forever that insurance companies are attacking you. Your tag line is why I brought my truck there in the first place, your lack of customer service is why I'll never come back. If anyone suspects that I am an insurance front, look me up and I'll share my accident photos.
Bill, look up my repair records and then come and look at my car please. I didn't have a wonderful experience with Leif's, and they were very disrespectful to my wife. The repair is not anywhere close to "preloss conditions" and just after warranty the paint started cracking. Definitely 3rd rate body work and paint. Kind of a wacko conclusion on your political theory there.
I wish I would’ve read all of the many complaints before I took our van to Leif’s. The first person I talk to was so nice and assured me that everything would be taken care of professionally and timely. Everything after that went downhill. Once I got an estimate approved they informed me that it would take at least six weeks which turned into more than two months. They kept asking for more and more money which they were given every dollar they asked for. Unfortunately there were many many problems with their work. Started with huge chunks out of brand new tires that they promised our vehicle would be safe. Those tires were not even close to safe. The frame was not squared up that they got paid for. The door handle was broken, lights not fixed, overspray on windows, sprayed over dirt and grime on the car, overall a horrible pain job. Plus overall a horrible job. The worst part is that I have had to argue with them and getting negativity for 6 months.
Bill, the one time I dealt with leifs, it sounds quite a bit like many of the experiences others shared. They start off with very impressive customer service but that all evaporates II your vehicle rolls into their driveway. I began letting them "deal with the insurance company for me". My car only needed a bumper, grill, and radiator. Prior to contacting leifs, the insurance company had essentially approved replacing my radiator bumper and grill. According to the adjuster, they were unable to reach leifs for almost 2 weeks. they then switched the adjuster from this young guy to this old jerk who is playing hardball and he informed me that they had withdrawn acceptance of liability and any monies paid to that point was all I would get. when I broke this news to leifs, they didn't even call to confirm with the insurance company they instantly told me I would owe $100 a day and it would become retroactive to when I dropped my vehicle off if I didn't get it out within 24 hours. Slimy fux.
I guess you can call me a 'leftist' but I left a good review. It seems the 'righties' are the complainers. I cannot comment on their service but mine was positive. I will use them again if I need to and recommend them to everyone.
Lol only a republican would say something like this
My bad review has nothing to do with politics. It has everything to do with bad business practices. They have blocked communication from me so I can even talk to them about my car sitting on their lot for 2 months without repairs.
