Depends on the artist and how close you want to be. If its a really popular artist, you probably wont get a good standing position unless you get there before 5:00 honestly.
30 minutes before doors open is usually a good rule of thumb
I usually try to get there 30 min to an hour before the doors open for a decent standing position.
