We are heading to the northern cascades next Friday and we hope to camp at a camp ground on highway 20 the Friday/Saturday night. We will be arriving in the park around 4pm. Are the campgrounds usually full then or will we find a spot?

Your better off checking the site for reservations. The south side (largest amount of spots in the campground) is reserve only and the north side across hwy 20 is first come first serve~ Happy Camping!

I actually called them earlier today and there are still several spots available on the first come first served loop of the campground. The cost per night I was told was $16 per night. I only know this because I called about a couple spots for this weekend trip I'm doing

I agree they'd be full by Saturday on a holiday weekend, but i think you've got better than 50/50 odds of finding something at one of the less glamorous ones for sure. Bet the rangers could tell you day of.

They will most likely be full. Half the sites are reserved , half first come. When I was there father's day it was full by 2 on Saturday.
