Hi, My cat has an abscess on the side of her head but she does not have a fever or anything. I was wondering, how much would it cost to get it removed? My dad doesn’t want to spend the money and said that to let her die. Mark.

Tell your Dad he better hope he doesn't get an abscess on the side of his head and money is tight

Mark, to provide an accurate estimate we would need to see your cat. Cost would be reviewed with you prior to any treatment. We would prefer you contact Animal Services or several of the other rescues in the area to surrender your cat if finances are an issue so that she could receive treatment.

Dad is evidently not a cat lover. That's a cruel statement. The vets in the Tumwater clinic were very compassionate. Our cat got into a fight and ended up with multiple wounds that might have abscessed. They took good care if him -- an x-Ray, antibiotics and pain medicine. He was back to running around within a week. It wasn't cheap, ($640) but it was worth it.

Might not be a fatal thing.. Only way to find cost is to take it in...Depends on how much you like cat, and what you think you can afford..
