Wonderful staff, Doctor B is so nice. Everyone genuinely cares about your pet's health. My cat was a little nervous going in but he left a happy baby❤

After 15+ years of exclusively going to Tumwater Vet, it’s time to find a dependable, honest and caring Vet. Since Dr. Bennet sold the business it has become a nightmare to get care. They continue to advertise accepting new clients, yet cannot get established patients seen even in an urgent situation. The standards are low, the prices are high, the communication is awful, and if you are choosing Tumwater Vet, you are setting your pets up for failure. Don’t waste your time. don’t let the nice sounding responses to these reviews fool you. They do not care. They do not value your long term business. They do not care about your animals. It is truly a sad time to be a pet owner in Thurston County

Getting to the point where you are actually seeing a doctor here has become a nightmare. I have been coming to this vet hospital since 2008, its the only place any of my pets have been to, and my pets are getting to be 10+ years old. Before they were sold and before the pandemic they were great to work with, no issues. Now, they don't answer the phone, don't return calls, don't call with test results, and will tell you that your geriatric animals with urgent health concerns can wait 6 weeks for an appointment. Especially when the ER vets are also closed or limited due to their own staffing issues and every other vet in the area is in the same boat, I can't just go somewhere else. I understand that the veterinary field is having issues with staffing and a flood of people with new pets, but TVH is really screwing the pooch with their oldest and most loyal clients. Most of the other 1 star reviews on here say the same thing. Maybe that should be a wake up call to you guys? Instead of posting the same generic "you should expect great service from us please call to discuss it" messages to the bad reviews on here you should have a staff meeting to discuss how you treat your loyal clients, or consider not seeing new patients or routine appointments for a while? The whole point of establishing yourself over years and years, giving a veterinary clinic your service (and tons of money BTW) is so they will help you when you need it. Otherwise what is the point of continuing to give you money?

We had our six-month-old kitten spayed recently, and the care was so wonderful! The instructions for at-home care and her medications were so detailed, and we really appreciate that. It's easy to get confused while trying to recall verbal instructions, so we loved the written instructions both on her summary and the medications. Thank you so much for your compassionate care!

They are pretty reasonable my dog had gotten into something he shouldn't have. They were so helpful and probably saved my dog's life. They are num 1 with me.

Do you take non -client emergencies? I'm having a friend pet sit while in out of town, and my vet is in Centralia, I live in Tumwater.

This is an unique situation as we always ask our clients for permission to treat and if they go on vacation the leave us with who can seek treatment. I would suggest contacting the front office at 360-754-6008 if the pet you are seeing needs emergency care. We do always suggest going to your pets regular DVM as they have your records and knows your pets history. There are two emergency clinics in the area: Olympia Pet Emergency on Pacific 360-455-5155 and Olympia Veterinary (Specialist) Emergency on Union 360-339-3596 press 4. Thank you! Michelle

Tumwater vet has complimentary nail trim with a visit or I believe they will schedule your pet with a tech for the trim. You would have to call to get cost. They have an awsome staff. I have been very happy with them.
