Murray's disposal is ridiculously expensive. If the lid isn't tightly sealed and shut, or a can weighs a little too much (because we all have scales and weigh our trash before throwing it away...)we're charged extra! Execs are lining their pockets!!

Is styrofoam recycleable Can I put styrofoam in the recycle bin

It sounds a little ridiculous. If this happens to be a every once and a while occurring problem that your can is to heavy or the lid is not all the way down they should let it slide. But if it's all the time I could see the charge. We have lived in orting wa for about 5 years now and have had heavy not sealed cans on more than one occasion. And have not ever had a issue. If you get a chance maybe talk to your driver and see it could possibly a clerical mistake. Just a guess but good luck.

Styrofoam can not go into the recycle bin. I pick up recycling and it’s the most common mistake. Sadly, even though it takes up a lot of room,it has to go into the garbage!
