You donate blood to save someone's life not for the money. or in my case because I needed to know what blood type I had for my wife since she is pregnant and is Rh - and insurance doesn't cover it, going through a medical provider cost about $300 yet donating will do it for free and the bonus is you get to save someone's life. They have a nap now that tells you how many people your blood affected. My last donation affected three people and that makes me feel really good and that knowledge alone is payment enough for me
If you need money for donating then that is your only purpose. NOT to help save lives!
