Yes, vehicles can board the ferry. Depending on the time, you want to get in the boarding lane atleast 30 minutes prior. At peak hours it will get full very fast . Boarding lanes start off in the right until full then continue onto the next left lane. Give yourself adequate time to get a good spot .
No reservations. Never an issue at Pt. Defiance. Just dont get get last min. Be there 20 min before ferry and you'll be fine
