They accuse everybody of wanting drugs which is EXACTLY what they need...People in pain want pain relief DUH. Then again junkies often blame everyone else but themselves so regular folks gotta suffer (regular folks including recovered addicts!) I guess the most important thing is you survived which is always something to be appreciative of! PS: this happened to me at Harborview with much worse treatment. I was left in tthe hallway for 24 hrs while projectile vomiting and being accosted by a naked Vietnam Vet. When I finally saw a Dr passes I begged for help I actually grabbed the doctors hand (gently) and wept for his help I have never seen a pair of colder eyes to this to this day. Never. There was nothing behind those eyes.
A break from what? Sounds like you probably had a bowel obstruction or something similar where a procedure would be ordered and you couldn't or drink until after. If not, why the hell would you want to eat if you were vomiting and/or had diarrhea as such happens with food poisoning? Sounds like they were most likely treating you properly and you were just being an unorderly jerk who didn't understand what proper medical treatment was.
It sounds as if you are a medical professional? If perhaps he could have had a little TLC & explanation then he may have felt better, too bad nursing & medical schools don't/ can't teach human empathy/compassion! I've been on both sides, a nurse treating and receiving, a hot appendix and nurse had the nerve to say it wasn't because I didn't have pain upon one of her stupid foot extension test, wasn't at Harbor view tho!
