Yes... there are constantly people in the park walking or doing L.A.R.P. and most are extremely friendly. Large pavilion for events and things....
Yes! There is lots of activities going on there all the time. Lots of dog walkers. I have always felt safe there. The eagle scouts maintain the trails.
