The stream part is open Thursday - Sunday. There is a fee. They limit how many can go through at a time so that you can enjoy yourself. For a little more you can get a tour guide. You can join the project @ 10.00 for one year and your membership gets you a discount on the entry fee. It is totally worth it! Hope this helps!
