Great Sandy beach and relatively warmer water at high tide. Best place to swim around and a free ferry ride. What's not to like?

It is your own vacation island right here. Sandy beaches, wild life, warm water (for Washington) and on windy days entertainment in the form of kite boarders. This has been a family favorite for many years.

Theres a foot ferry in the summer but I have always paddled out in my kayak. The north end of the island in particular has some nice secluded beaches and log rafts loaded with harbor seals.

This place is awesome! I've been here several times via my kayak, alone and with my girlfriend. I haven't been to the southern half because I prefer more secluded environs, plus there always seems to be wind / kite surfers on the southern end. Saw plenty of wildlife including a seal which I was thrilled to see! Relatively clean, but we need your help to keep it clean! This place is really refreshing and it heals your spirit.

I was out there last weekend and the ferry was not running. The port of Everett website says it will start operating on July 5 and then July 7 through Labor Day. The island however is open all year if you have a boat/kayak/etc. There's also a small self service kayak rental currently open right next to the launch.
Warm but not hot. It stays pretty shallow, but the farther you go the cooler it gets. I'm able to go up to my thighs and it's not cold.
You make reservations online on the website.
Yes the ferry is open this year. $3 per person. Reservations online
How do u make reservations for the ferry ? And can u see fireworks for the 4th of July there?
No dogs are not allowed, unfortunately
Per the Port of Everett website, there is no ferry this year to date. Most people are using/renting kayaks etc.
Went last weekend, the water was clear but there was in one part of the beach
During Jetty Island Days, the free ferry operates seven days a week. The ferry departs from Jetty Landing, adjacent to the Port of Everett's boat launch at 10th Street and West Marine View Drive.
Yes, they would appreciate a donation.
