Someone said you get in free with SAMs club membership, which I have,but SAMs closed. Does Costco membership do the same?

If you have a library card you can get a museum pass which gets you in for free.

SAMs club is a grocery store like costco. But the SAM is the Seattle Art Museum. If you have a student id i think they do discounts, same if you have the seattle public library card or the seattle city pass. But you are thinking of a grocery store and i dont believe they or costco provide discounts for the Seattle Art Museum.

I think they meant a Seattle Art Museum (SAM) membership.

Never heard of that. Maybe there is a discount. Best to call for that answer.
